Policies

These are the policies we have in place at the Scissor Happy Hair Studio.

NO SHOWS

At Scissor Happy Hair Studio, I understand that sometimes circumstances beyond your control may prevent you from making it to your scheduled appointment. However, I kindly ask that you give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This allows me to fill your desired appointment time with another client, avoid a loss of income, and ensure other clients can be accommodated at their preferred time. Failure to give notice that results in a no-show will result in you being unable to book any future standing appointments with me.

CANCELING WITHOUT RESCHEDULING

It happens. I get it! Just call. I ask for 24 hours notice with all haircut appointments and 48 hours for all other appointments. If you fail to give notice, you are responsible for 50% of the service cost. After 2 cancellations of the same appointment, it becomes a No Show (see above).

RESCHEDULING

This is the hardest. Because I understand the fluidity of schedules. So here’s the policy: There is a limit to rescheduling the same appointment twice. After that, I will ask for a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the service to hold your time for you. Please give the same notice as with cancellations for rescheduling.

RUNNING LATE

Late arrivals can make things challenging. I will always do my best to accommodate you. Understand that we may need to alter the services in order to fit it into the time allotted If I cannot and it needs to be rescheduled, the appointment is then a cancellation and subject to those terms.

PAYMENT AND RETURNED CHECKS

No checks please. Clients may pay by cash or credit/debit card only. If for some reason you do pay with a check, you are responsible for any fees to the salon if that check is returned or does not clear.

UPON YOUR ARRIVAL

If you arrive and I have a client in the chair, please let me know you have arrived and allow me to finish my client privately by waiting in the waiting area. I will walk you in when they have left. You are welcome to grab a magazine or a beverage for your short wait. Because I share a building with other salon owners, if you bring your children, please encourage them to keep their volume low and not to run in the halls.

PRODUCT GUARANTEE

If you are ever dissatisfied with your retail purchase, you may bring back your product for a full or partial refund, exchange, or store credit within 14 days of purchase date.
